Memphis, TN - Kawasaki Team Green™ drag racer Ryan Schnitz rode his Ninja® ZX-10R sportbike to victory at Memphis , giving the leading-edge Ninja its first 1-liter Super Sport class title in AMA Prostar drag racing. Schnitz entered round seven with a considerable points lead, beating out the competition with a run of 154.12 mph with an elapsed time (ET) of 8.998 seconds. He also set a new record for the 1-liter Super Sport class with an ET of 8.9 seconds – besting his own record that he set at the previous round in Indianapolis .
Schnitz also won the 600 Super Sport race on his Ninja ZX-6RR sport bike, defeating teammate Chad Milholland. Milholland, however, holds a larger points lead and will battle Kawasaki-mounted Richard Gadson for the title at the last round in Gainesville in early November.
