Des Moines, IA - Reigning Arenacross champion and Team Green™ rider Darcy Lange started off the new 2004-2005 series right where he left it last season, by winning the opening round held at Des Moines, Iowa, Oct. 29-31.
On Friday night, Lange and his four-stroke KX250F and two-stroke KX250 ran away with wins in the 125cc main event, 250 main event and Dash-for-Cash. He then followed it up on Saturday night by winning the 125cc main event and Dash-for-Cash, but fell just short of winning the 250 main event where he eventually finished on the podium with a third.
Not only did Lange leave Des Moines with the points lead, but he gave the KX250F and the KX250 their first professional victories in the U.S. for the new season.
The next stop in the new Arenacross series will be in Albany, NY, on Nov. 5-7.
